And Now...The Best Blog Awards

These are not in any particular order, just my favorites on the web. I will continue to add to the list even as I write other entries.

1) http://www.perolmaninthepromisedland.blogspot.com

Every entry in this blog makes me yearn to go back to Israel. Karen just makes it sound so amazing!! She writes her daily trips, new friends, and beautiful Shabbosim. It's evident she has found her place among the Jews. I don't know her, but I like her and I love Israel and you will too after you read this blog.

2) http://www.crocket.blogspot.com

The lighthearted random musings of assistant art director Dave Fabricant, a fellow employee at Life & Style Weekly. He turned me on to the perk of blogging especially at blogspot.com (I suggest you all try it, its quite therapeutic) and his entries are witty, fun, and full of cute pictures. Love it!

3) http://www.dinadoesbrooklyn.blogspot.com

My friend Dina is a b'aal teshuva, as I am, but quickly rose to become a Lubavitcher. Just as well, her blog showcases the happiness she has found in her new life in Crown Heights, mixed in with Torah lessons and other lessons in Jewish halachot. She maintains a consistant positive tone with anything she does and for that she is an inspiration to me.

4) http://www.navayasgur.blogspot.com

Too bad Nava stopped updating this blog because it was quite intriguing. Nava, a fellow Jew and graduate of Rutgers University, spent the summer in Thailand helping to clean up after the tsunami disaster. Nava is quite the talented writer. She is currently making (or has already made) aliyah to the holy land.

5) http://shomernegiah.blogspot.com

This blog can best be described by an article in the Daily Forward also featuring Dina's blog.
"The blogger known as Nice Jewish Girl is a successful woman in her 30s. Like countless other single women who have Web journals, she writes about men, sex and marriage: her vibrator, her ex-boyfriends, her crush on the cute WASPy guy in her office. Unlike the stiletto-heeled masses, though, she has a more complicated take on dating. Nice Jewish Girl is Shomer Negiah: She won't touch a man until she gets married." It's moody and passionate, smart, and moving---just read it!

6) http://snobinthecity.blogspot.com

Fully committed to the New York style of dating, drinking wine, dancing on couches, and dining at fine restaurants, this shabby chic New Yorker points a nice spin on the city scene. Hey, she's no Carrie Bradshaw, but I love her dating dilemma accounts and her perspective on everything from endless shoe shopping to grabbing a cup of coffee. Check her blog out if you're in the mood for some makeup tips and a NY thrill!
