VMA Highlights

Green Day was definitely kickass...and to think I will have to miss out on their concert Thursday at Giants Stadium because of work-grrrrrrrrrrr!!!...Shakira performance of "La Tortura" with surprise addition Alejandro Sanz was raw and edgy but left something to be desired...and Alejandro's hair left something to be desired!!!...Money falling into the crowd (real?) during Kanye West "Gold Digger" performance...Kelly Clarkson drenched, weird! Surprise highlights: MC Hammer!! Clowning vs. Crunking. Reggaeton bit with Don Omar and Daddy Yankee (so good live!) R. Kelly singing about Chuck and Rufus, 5th chapter just weird!!

And now...for some VMA gossip

FERGIE of Black Eyed Peas fame pretty much cleaned up all the booths at the Style Villa gift lounge at the Sagamore Hotel. Fergie picked up Juicy Tubes in Chai Breeze from Lancome, limited edition denim pieces from Express, a hot pink satin and black dotted mesh peekaboo bra and panty set from Victoria's Secret ("She was so nice. She wasn't greedy at all," says the VS rep--well, that's a little strange considering she took a piece from every single booth!!!) She also took home a collection of Bratz dolls and a Bratz backpack filled with goodies (including an MP3 player), and Michael Stars Supima Model tanks in 4 different colors!!!

(In case you don't know what a gift lounge is, celebs regularly pick up products as gifts at various gift lounges during most award show weekends. How nice, celebs who already have more money then they can handle also get products for free, as if they can't spare a dime...well--its all in the name of PR)

USHER cleaned out the Daszign lounge by taking almost Ted Baker's entire line of clothing! He left with so many bags, his posse had to come back with a bigger car to make sure everything fit!

Pre-VMA party...
*Jamie Foxx poured shots from the balcony down girl's throats at his party at the Loews Hotel, while announcing he was going to get "f*cked up tonight" and Colin Farrell talked to every girl in sight and took down lots of numbers (They're doing the movie Miami Vice together)
*Kirsten Dunst and Orlando Bloom didn't even come down to the Opium Garden party. They were having too much fun on the roof deck doing lines of coke with their inner circle.
*Johnny Knoxville hanging out with four girls including a blonde Jessica Simpson lookalike till 7:40am. The next day he was family man, spending time with his wife, daughter, and friend Bam Magera and Tony Hawk.

And the After Party...
*Diddy's official VMA after party at club Space got underway at 11:30pm but he didn't arrive till 1 in the morning.
*Jessica suffering an Ashlee Simpson moment when she got onstage to sing and the wrong song came on.
Jessica and Nick NOT speaking to each other for the entire 2 hours they were at the after party at Setai.

And just for my own personal pleasure, a pic of the lovely Stephen from Laguna Beach. He is sooo hot! Apparently fans at the VMAs were screaming, "Stephen, we love your hair! Stephen, have my baby!" (Sorry, the best picture I could put on here was one of him with LC) Enjoy it! I know I will...
